The Foundation for Rowing Education, Inc. is a non-profit partnership formed to facilitate  rowing and coaching education.

This organization serves the national rowing community: regions, clubs, schools and individuals. Educational targets range from the novice to the elite athlete, new and experienced coaches, as well as established and fledgling organizations.

Our Mission
The Foundation for Rowing Education, Inc. was created
to provide educational opportunities for individuals and organizations to learn, develop, and excel in the sport of rowing while maintaining safe water practices.

Workshops:

  • trailer driving and boat transport
  • water safety
  • coxing
  • equipment upkeep
  • training, (including age-appropriate training
    for the aging body)
  • safety and organizational administration

Special attention is be paid to novice coaches.

Our Premise
There is a history of steady growth and strong potential growth in our sport. Rowing clubs and rowers are increasing in record numbers. With this growth, a continued expansion of coaching education is needed to maintain a healthy and safe sport for the new rowers and coaches across the country.

The continued development of a sound, progressive, interactive educational system is needed today and will be needed even more in the coming years.

Our Plan
We help the sport of rowing as it grows; by building a local and regional base of workshops and events. The Foundation was created to bring more educational opportunities to the rowing community.

Young coaches as well as veterans will have their rowing knowledge expanded or reinforced. Networking will be a major factor in the workshops, to strengthen rowing in the community.
