What We Have Done

Row4All is our national outreach initiative, developed to expand the scope and impact of rowing programs.

We have partnered with the national YMCA to bring indoor rowing programs to communities, using rowing as a fitness tool. Our program includes nutritional awareness components.

RowingRoadCrew is our bring-it-to-you educational division, the “on-the-road workshops on all things rowing” program. Certified Rowing Educational workshops include:

  • Safe trailer driving
  • Boat launch driving
  • Coxing clinic

Also Available:

  • Equipment upkeep
  • Training, (including age-appropriate training for the aging body)
  • Safety and organizational administration

The sport of rowing has grown rapidly, and that growth continues. Rowing clubs and rowers are increasing in record numbers across the country. Accordingly, there is a strong need for educational programs and materials for both rowers and coaches, in order to maintain a healthy and safe sport.

A sound, progressive, interactive educational system is needed today and will be needed even more in the coming years.

Coast Guard grant

We received a generous grant from the US Coast Guard for our Safe Launch Driving education series. We taught classroom and hands-on launch driving rules and participants (coaches and volunteers and crew parents) and awarded Certificates.

Inner City Rowing programs

We created Row4All, in partnership with Holyoke Rows boat club and the national YMCA, to teach fitness and nutrition. We used the rowing machine as an introduction to rowing, and used games to introduce hands-on strength and stamina practice.
